The Leafies are the first dedicated tea awards in the UK, that highlight carefully crafted teas worldwide.
The program will bring together high-profile tea specialists to assess and award high-grade crafter teas in more than 30 categories.
Judging criteria will consider; the farming and processing of the teas, the stories and the people behind the gardens.
There are two categories;
Highly Commended; awarded at the judges’ discretion and a Prestigious Gold award.
Amazingly, there are few Japanese winners listed.
Selection of winning teas will be sold at Fortnum & Mason’s London store at the Rare Tea Counter.
